
Established in 2007, Vivekananda Dental College for Women has emerged as a highly esteemed dental college affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University in Tamil Nadu, India. Initially admitting 50 students, the college has experienced remarkable growth over the years. In 2013, it achieved a significant milestone by increasing the intake capacity to 100 seats for the BDS course. Not content with this achievement, the college embarked on another endeavor in 2015, introducing the MDS course in eight specialties.

Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
To be eligible for admission, candidates should have successfully passed the Higher Secondary Examination (HSC) or its equivalent, such as the 10+2/PDC academic examination. The qualification should be recognized as equivalent by the university. Additionally, candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany, and Zoology during their HSC, and obtained a minimum aggregate score of 40% for SC/ST candidates and 50% for those in the General category.
For admission to the first year of the M.D.S Post Graduate Degree Dental Course, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- They should have successfully completed the B.D.S Degree from this University or any other university recognized as equivalent by both the authority of this University and the Indian Dental Council.
- Additionally, candidates must have obtained permanent registration from any of the State Dental Councils.
- Furthermore, they should have passed the B.D.S Degree examination and completed one year of C.R.R.I. (Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship).
