Vivekananda College of Law, founded by the Janatha Education Society in 1983, offers both three-year LL.B. and five-year LL.B. courses, which were introduced by Bangalore University in 1986. Our college took the initiative to incorporate these courses in the same year they were introduced. Recognizing that knowledge of the law is a fundamental responsibility of every citizen, we strive to inspire and educate as many individuals as possible about its significance. Understanding the law equips individuals to navigate their daily affairs effectively, and we aim to empower them in this regard.

Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
Vivekananda College of Law offers two main courses: a five-year LLB course and a three-year LLB program. The five-year LLB course integrates a graduation degree with LLB studies.
For the integrated LLB course, the total intake capacity at VCL, Bangalore, is 60 seats. On the other hand, the three-year LLB course has 120 seats available.
To be eligible for admission to the five-year LLB course at Vivekananda College of Law, Bangalore, candidates must have passed the pre-university or 10+2 level examination from a recognized state or central board of education or possess any equivalent qualification at the 10+2 level as deemed acceptable by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
In terms of academic criteria, candidates from the general category need to have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examination. For OBC category students, the minimum requirement is 42% marks, while SC/ST category students should have obtained at least 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
Placements
Vivekananda College of Law takes great pride in its outstanding placement record. The college boasts of a dedicated placement cell that actively organizes pre-placement activities and facilitates on-campus placement programs by inviting renowned companies. In addition, the college goes the extra mile by offering free coaching for SSB and other exams to empower its students further.
Moreover, the college houses a student-centric placement cell known as VSLLS. This proactive cell takes charge of arranging pre-placement events and providing valuable support to students aspiring to embark on entrepreneurial ventures. The cell operates under the guidance of the Director – CRC&PFC, ensuring a well-structured and supportive environment for students’ career growth.
