Established in 2004, the Vijayalakshmi Institute of Hospitality Sciences (VIHS) was founded with the objective of enhancing the skill set of individuals aspiring for careers in the tourism and hotel industry. VIHS offers three-year Bachelor of Science degree programs in hotel management (B. Sc. (H.S.)) and interior design and decoration (B. Sc. (ID & D)). These degree programs are affiliated with Mangalore University, Mangalore. Located within the Srinivas Campus in the heart of Mangalore city, the institute has grown from offering a single course in hospitality sciences to now incorporating a three-year degree program in interior design and decoration, a field experiencing significant growth in professional education. Admissions
For admission to the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Science (B.Sc. (H.S)) degree program, candidates must have successfully completed the Pre-University (Class 12th or 10+2) examination, or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks.
Similarly, for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and Decoration (B.Sc. (ID&D)) degree program, candidates are required to have passed the Pre-University (Class 12th or 10+2) examination, or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks.
