Located in Karnataka, Vijaya College is a distinguished institute established in 1945. Renowned as a leading educational institution in the city, it offers a comprehensive UG Degree course in Accounting & Commerce, available in a Full-Time mode. Admissions
Vijaya College provides a variety of undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs. In the UG program, they offer B.Sc., B.Com, BCA, and BBM courses, each spanning a three-year duration. Additionally, the college offers M.Sc. and M.Com programs, which are completed over a two-year period, with an intake of 30 students for each course.
To apply for any UG or PG course, candidates are required to submit offline applications. The admission office at the college facilitates the availability of application forms, and applicants can make the payment for the application fee either through a Demand Draft (DD) or in cash.
Eligibility for UG courses, including B.Sc., B.Com, BCA, and BBM, requires candidates to have passed 10+2 or HSC in the relevant specialization from a recognized Board.
For admission to the M.Sc. course, candidates should have successfully completed a B.Sc. Degree in the respective subject. As for the M.Com program, applicants must hold a B.Com Degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
The selection process for admission to B.Sc. and B.Com courses is solely based on merit in the qualifying examination. However, candidates seeking admission to BCA and BBM programs need to undergo an entrance test conducted by the college.
For 50% of the seats in both M.Sc. and M.Com courses, the selection is carried out through the Common Admission Process (CAP) conducted by Bangalore University. For the remaining 50% seats in PG courses, admission is given based on the merit obtained in the UG Degree course.
Placements
The college has established the Placement and Career Counseling cell to cater to the students’ needs. The primary goal of this cell is to equip students with essential life skills and assist them in securing job placements. To address the current intense competition in the job market, the placement cell has implemented various initiatives, including seminars, mock interviews, training in soft skills, communication skills, personality development, corporate culture, etiquette, and leadership skills, specifically tailored for final year students.
Moreover, the college has integrated Career Counseling services with the Placement cell, offering valuable guidance to students about diverse paths in higher education and alternative career opportunities, in addition to providing support for job placements.
