
Established in 1958, Veterinary College, Bangalore, is a renowned institution situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. The college provides 18 diverse courses in a full-time degree mode. Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
Veterinary College provides admissions in B.V.Sc & AH, M.V.Sc, and Ph.D. programs. The postgraduate program offers 17 specializations, while the doctoral program offers 10 specializations.
For postgraduate and doctoral programs, admissions are determined by written tests conducted by KVAFSU, along with consideration of the candidate’s merit in their previous qualifying examination.
As for the undergraduate course, admission is based on NEET scores, and seat allocation is carried out through VCI counseling.
All applications for the courses can be submitted online through the college website. However, for undergraduate programs, applications for counseling must be made through VCI Counselling.
Placements
The placement rate at our college is an impressive 100%, and graduates have found diverse career paths. Some have joined government hospitals as doctors, while others have chosen to establish private clinics. Additionally, five individuals have pursued their Ph.D. in the US. Several graduates have also entered the poultry industry, and their salaries typically range from Rs. 50,000 to 1 LPM.
During the placement process, a few NGOs conducted interviews and recruited veterinarians for their clinics. All students secured internships in various esteemed locations such as Mysore Zoo, Bannerghatta Biological Park, CPDO, CCBF, CFSPTI, and SLBTC at Hesaraghatta, which proved to be a valuable experience. The internships provided a stipend of Rs. 17,000 per month for each student.
Although our college does not have a formal placement cell, our profession is in high demand, ensuring job opportunities for everyone. Those interested in furthering their education are pursuing higher studies in their respective fields. The success and versatility of our graduates highlight the immense potential and opportunities in the veterinary field.
