Established in 1958, Thiagarajar Polytechnic College (TPC) is a renowned institute located in Salem, Tamil Nadu. TPC offers 12 diploma courses in full-time mode. Admissions
Admission to the polytechnic is open to both male and female students. The Government of Tamil Nadu’s norms for reservation will be followed. Additionally, admission under the All India Quota and for orthopedically handicapped students is granted with special permission from the Department of Technical Education (DOTE).
A notable achievement is that the diploma programs in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Production Engineering, and Textile Technology have been consecutively accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, for a period of ten years.
To be eligible for admission, candidates must have passed the 10th Standard / SSC examination and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination. For 2-year diploma programs, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with any three subjects from Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship.
