The Oxford College of Science, established in 1994 by Founder Sri S Narasa Raju under the Children’s Education Society, is a degree college that aims to provide high-quality education through a strong academic foundation, experienced faculty, and modern facilities to promote an all-round learning experience. As part of The Oxford Educational Institutions, the college is chaired by Sri S. N. V. L. Narasimha Raju.
The college aims to enhance students’ learning abilities in academics, technology, and entrepreneurship, preparing them for academic and professional excellence through competitive academic programs and industry partnerships. The course curriculum is strengthened by value-added courses, guest lectures, internships, seminars, and workshops, emphasizing students’ professional and personal growth.
The Oxford College of Science has been ranked 1st among private colleges in Karnataka for the past three years. In the India Today MDRA Survey 2018, the college’s BSc program ranked 7th in Karnataka and 41st in India, the BCA program 5th in Karnataka and 12th in India, and the FAD program 6th in Karnataka and 23rd in India. The college also ranked 2nd in the Best Value for Money category. In The Week Hansa Research Survey 2018, the college ranked 6th in Karnataka and 32nd in India. Admissions
The Oxford College of Science will commence its admission process for 2023 shortly. The college currently offers a range of UG and PG courses such as BCA, B.Sc, MCA, and M.Sc across various specializations. Admissions to these courses are based on academic merit. To be eligible for B.Sc. and BCA courses, candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent. For M.Sc. and MCA courses, a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field is necessary. Admission to PG courses involves a written aptitude test (conducted online) conducted by the college. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
Placements
The primary objective of the Training and Placement Cell is to prepare students for the recruitment process by providing career guidance and training programs, facilitating placement in well-known companies and institutions. The Cell conducts pre-placement activities and arranges for campus recruitment drives. It also focuses on developing the interpersonal skills of students and building their confidence. The ultimate goal of the Cell is to ensure that all students secure 100% placements.
