Admissions

The admissions are conducted in two cycles: the Calendar Year (CY) cycle and the Academic Year (AY) cycle. Similar to other universities, TNOU admits students twice in an academic year, during the July and January sessions. With this aim in mind, the “Student Welfare and Placement Cell (SWPC)” was established at TNOU on July 26, 2016. This dedicated placement cell understands the challenges faced by students pursuing courses through distance learning, as they often lack proper guidance in finding suitable employment opportunities.

As part of the Tamil Nadu Open University placement process, students are provided with the opportunity to participate in placement drives conducted at both the university’s headquarters and its regional centres.
