The roots of this university trace back to the establishment of an agricultural college in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, in 1868. Subsequently, in 1906, it was relocated to Coimbatore. Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
TNAU provides undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral level programs in various agricultural disciplines. To apply for TNAU programs, candidates have the option to apply online. The admission process for TNAU usually commences in April and continues until August. For UG programs, admissions are primarily based on the merit of the qualifying exam, followed by a counseling process.
In the case of PG programs, admission is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam conducted by the University. However, for the PhD program at TNAU, admissions are determined through a combination of an entrance exam and a Personal Interview conducted by the University.
