SIU Bangalore, officially known as Symbiosis International (Deemed University) Bangalore, is a privately-owned educational institution founded in 2002 within Electronic City. It operates as one of the campuses under the umbrella of SIU Pune. The university holds recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is a proud member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Notably, it has been accredited with an esteemed “A” Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The Bangalore campus comprises two prominent constituent institutes: Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) and Symbiosis School of Media & Communication (SSMC). Across these constituent institutes, the university provides a diverse range of MBA programs with various specializations. Additionally, students and faculty members have the unique opportunity to participate in the Symbiosis Summer School (SSS) program, allowing them to study at the Lavale campus.
Admissions
To apply for the MBA program, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university. Selection for admission will be based on their performance in the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), followed by a Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview-Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT).
For the Executive MBA course, students are required to have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks and a minimum of three years of work experience. Admission to the Executive MBA program will be determined by the candidate’s performance in the Personal Interaction during the Entrance Test conducted by SIBM, Bengaluru.
To be eligible for the Post Graduate Diploma courses offered by the university, students need to have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university with an aggregate of at least 50% marks. Admission to the PG Diploma courses will be granted based on the applicant’s performance in the Personal Interaction.
