Established on June 27, 2011, Surana Evening College of Commerce & Management is an affiliated institution of Bangalore University. It operates as an extension of the esteemed Surana Educational Group and aims to provide Commerce and Management education to those who are unable to pursue daytime studies. The college follows the motto of “Learn while you Earn” for its Commerce & Management course.
The primary objective behind the establishment of this Evening College is to cater to the educational needs of working individuals who aspire to pursue higher studies and attain a degree in Commerce and Management. Currently, the college offers a three-year B.Com degree program. It is worth noting that our Evening College is affiliated with Bangalore University, and the course holds recognition from the same. The university has approved an annual intake of 60 students.
Under the capable leadership of Sri. Dilipji Surana and Mrs. Archanaji Surana, the Managing Trustee, the college operates with a participatory style of leadership, benefitting from their invaluable guidance and advice. The experienced staff from the Day College also contributes significantly to our institution, providing ongoing support through valuable suggestions and guidance.
Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
Candidates seeking admission must adhere to the norms set by Bangalore University. The selection process takes into account not only academic merit but also the conduct and behavior of the applicants. Prior to issuing the application, counseling sessions are conducted to evaluate the candidates.In certain cases, an entrance test may be conducted as deemed necessary.
For degree admissions, the following documents need to be submitted:
- Original 12th Std./PUC Marks Card
- Original 12th Std./PUC Transfer Certificate
- Proof of Address: Copy of Ration Card, Telephone Bills, or Gas Bill
- Original Migration Certificate (Applicable only for non-Karnataka candidates)
- Passport-sized Photographs (5 Nos.)
- Caste Certificate (Compulsory for SC, ST, and CAT – I candidates, if applicable)
