Suguna College Arts & Science in Coimbatore was established by the Suguna Charitable Trust in 1973, under the visionary leadership of Sri G. Ramaswamy, a renowned industrialist. The college is conveniently located just 1 km away from the Coimbatore – Avinashi National Highway (NH47), in Nehru Nagar, near the International Airport, Coimbatore City- 641 014.
Our primary aim is to foster a culture of applied learning and encourage students to engage in independent study and work. Through various stages of their educational journey, we strive to ensure that students develop the necessary knowledge and skills required for their personal and professional growth. We are committed to providing academic support and assistance, and our doors are always open to help students with their academic needs.
Admissions
Applications are open to both male and female candidates. To be eligible, applicants must have appeared for the Plus Two examinations (HSC) conducted by the TamilNadu State Board or an equivalent board and achieved a pass in all subjects. The completed application forms should be submitted to the College Office within ten working days after the declaration of the HSC (PLUS TWO) Results. Late applications will be accepted but treated as such. Additionally, candidates should not exceed the age limit of 24 years as of July 1st. Physically challenged candidates are granted a relaxation of 2 years in the age limit.
Placements
Suguna College of Arts and Science has a dedicated Suguna Training, Entrepreneurship and Placement (STEP) Cell that goes beyond regular academic coaching to provide students with industry-oriented knowledge and skill sets. This cell collaborates with industry experts to design and deliver professional and life skills training, ensuring that our students are well-prepared to meet the demands of the industry and excel in their respective workplaces.
The primary focus of the STEP Cell is to develop and nurture students in the Commerce and Management streams, equipping them with the right attitude, knowledge, values, and skills required to thrive as exceptional executives, managers, or entrepreneurs.
The placement cell of the college is committed to providing effective assistance to graduating students. It strives to connect students with relevant job opportunities and support their successful transition into the professional world. The placement cell aims to facilitate the placement process and enable students to embark on promising career paths aligned with their aspirations and qualifications.
