Admissions

The programs available for admissions at SJEC Mangalore include B.E, M.Tech, M.B.A, M.C.A, M.Sc, and Ph.D. To be admitted to the B.E program, candidates are required to take either the COMEDK UGET or KCET entrance exams. Subsequently, candidates participate in COMEDK UGET/KCET counseling for seat allocation and choice filling.
For admission to the M.B.A program, candidates’ performance in Karnataka PGCET/KMAT/CMAT is taken into consideration. Shortlisted candidates then go through counseling rounds to secure seats. To obtain government quota seats, candidates must go through the PGCET counseling process after clearing the entrance exam. Similarly, for management quota seats, candidates must have appeared for CMAT or KMAT. Admission to the M.C.A program at SJEC Mangalore is based on candidates’ performance in entrance exams such as Karnataka PGCET/KMAT. Government quota seats are allotted based on Karnataka PGCET ranks, while management quota seats require candidates to have appeared for Karnataka PGCET/KMAT or any approved entrance examination recognized by the Government of Karnataka/VTU/other Karnataka state universities. Seat allotment for M.C.A is done through Karnataka PGCET/KMAT counseling rounds.
