Established in 1993, SRM Institute of Hotel Management in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a private educational institute dedicated to providing higher education in the field of Hotel Management. It is a part of the esteemed SRM Group of Educational Institutions, which has a history of 37 years. The SRM Group is sponsored by the Valliammai Society and takes its name from Thiru Ramasamy, the late father of Thiru T.R. Pachamuthu, the founder and chairman of the society. Thiru Ramasamy was a great source of inspiration for Thiru T.R. Pachamuthu, and the society was named after his mother, Valliammai. Under the leadership of Thiru Ramaswamy, the SRM Group operates various institutions.
Admissions
The institute provides a range of courses including a 3-year B.Sc course, a 3-year Diploma course, and a 1-year Craftsmanship course.
Admission to these courses is based on the merit obtained in the 10+2 examination. Candidates who have successfully completed the 10+2 or an equivalent examination in any discipline from a recognized board are eligible to apply for the institute’s courses. The application process can be completed online or offline. Candidates can download the application form from the college’s website or obtain it in person from the admission office by paying the application fee. The application fee, which amounts to INR 900, can be paid either online or offline through a Demand Draft (DD).
