Established in 1984, Sriram Polytechnic College holds the distinction of being the first educational institution on its campus and is regarded as the cornerstone of all Sriram educational institutions. The college offers 6 Diploma Courses, and over the course of its 34-year existence, it has made significant contributions to youth development and technical education with great pride and success. Situated in a rural and backward village near Veppampattu Railway station, Perumalpattu, Thiruvallur District, Sriram Polytechnic College serves as a temple of knowledge, attracting a diverse group of students from urban and semi-urban areas. Many of these students come from economically disadvantaged and socially marginalized backgrounds, representing the first generation in their families to pursue higher education.

Admissions
To ensure a smooth admission process, candidates are advised to adhere to the following instructions:
Original documents, such as the mark sheet of the qualifying examination and the matriculation exam certificate, will be returned to the candidates immediately after verification. The university will retain attested photocopies of the documents for record-keeping purposes.
Selected candidates must make the required payment at the time of admission.
The payment can be made through demand draft (favoring Sriram Polytechnic College-SPC), net banking, or cash.
On the reverse side of the demand draft, the candidate should clearly write their name, admission form number, and the name of the course they have applied for.
Candidates are advised to keep a photocopy of the demand draft for their personal records.
