Situated within the Srinivas Campus in Valachil, Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT) is a constituent of Srinivas Group of Colleges in Mangalore. Established in 2006, the institute is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. It has received recognition from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Initially, Srinivas Institute of Technology commenced its journey with four engineering streams. Prospective students are required to meet the eligibility criteria specified by the institute for admissions.
SIT offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Engineering, MBA, and MCA. The college has garnered a reputation as one of the top self-financed engineering colleges in Karnataka, primarily due to its exceptional infrastructure facilities. The campus boasts a high-speed internet connectivity of 4 MBPS (1:1) and is equipped with 500 computers. With a seating capacity of over 750, the college can comfortably accommodate various co-curricular activities. Additionally, the institute has obtained approval for its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
Admissions
The college provides a wide range of undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses, including B.E, B.Arch, M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. For admission to MBA/PGDM and MCA programs offered by B-Schools in Bangalore and Karnataka, the college considers the KMAT entrance exam, which is a state-level common entrance exam.
In addition to UG and PG courses, the college also offers PhD programs in various disciplines. Admission to these courses is granted based on the candidate’s rank in the KMAT and Karnataka PGCET entrance exams.
Prospective applicants can easily register for admission to the institute through an online application process, simplifying the application procedure. To be eligible for admission, students should have successfully completed their 10+2 examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks.
Placements
The Training and Placement cell strives to bridge the gap between prospective employers and the campus. The primary objective of the cell is to enhance the employability and entrepreneurship skills of our students. To achieve this, we organize various Training Programs conducted by industry experts and professionals. These programs focus on developing soft skills, interview techniques, group discussion skills, personality development skills, and written/aptitude test skills, among others. Notable companies that have collaborated with us for placements include Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HP, SLK Software, UST Global, Control Print Ltd., Wureth Electronik, Cadence, Span Infotech, Sonata Software, Robosoft Technologies, Robert Bosch, and Polycab Wires.
