Established in 1985, Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) in Chennai is dedicated to providing high-quality technical education. Admission to postgraduate courses requires clearing the TANCET examination. It is important to note that the application process for both programs is strictly online, and physical application forms are not available from the University.

Admissions
Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) offers undergraduate courses in both B.E. and B.Tech. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Admissions to these courses follow the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Regulation.
In a recent development, the university has made the decision to waive the entrance examination requirement for admission. Instead, candidates will be admitted based on their performance in the qualifying examination. It is important to note that applicants should be natives of Tamil Nadu. If they are not, they will be required to submit their Nativity Certificate as per the guidelines provided.

To ensure students stay updated with current industry trends, the cell follows a “Train the Trainer Model” where trainers from leading MNCs like Wipro, Cognizant, and Infosys provide specialized training.
The placement drive at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering takes place on-campus, attracting esteemed recruiters such as Dow, Titan, Infosys, Wipro, TVS, Deloitte, Amazon, Cognizant, Accenture, Yamaha, Siemens, and many others.
