Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
Eligibility for the B.Ed. degree course at our institution is open to women graduates and post-graduates who have successfully completed UG and PG courses. The selection of candidates for admission is based on the prevailing regulations set by the university and the Government of Tamil Nadu. Seats and concessions are reserved for SC, ST, MBC/DNC, BC, and other special categories as per the guidelines stipulated by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
To qualify for admission to the Master of Education program, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from our university or any other institution recognized by the Syndicate as equivalent. The minimum requirement is a 50% aggregate score, with at least 50% marks in both theory and practical separately.
All applicants are required to take an Entrance Test and attend an Interview, which will be considered along with their M.Ed. marks for evaluation. The written test consists of 25 objective type questions carrying one mark each, as well as two essay questions worth 25 marks each. The interview carries a weightage of 25 marks. The marks obtained in the written test and interview will be added to the M.Ed. Degree examination scores (with external marks in theory, not exceeding 25%), resulting in a total of 125 marks for ranking purposes.
For Ph.D. enrollment, our college adheres to the rules and regulations set by the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.
