Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
BDS:
To gain admission into a dental school for BDS, applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria. This includes having a pass certificate in 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects, along with a minimum of 50% marks.
MDS:
The eligibility criteria for NEET MDS 2021, based on the MDS Course Regulations 2017 issued by the Dental Council of India with prior approval from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, are as follows: Applicants should not be younger than 20 years of age and must hold a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from a university or institute recognized by the Dental Council of India.
Placements
During their internship, students have the opportunity to gain practical experience by practicing in outside clinics. The internship takes place within the college premises and includes a stipend of 5000. After successfully completing their final year, all students are required to undertake this mandatory internship to receive their degree certificate.
To facilitate their practice in external clinics, students are provided with a Provisional Certificate – 1, which confirms their eligibility to practice under any clinic while pursuing their internship. Upon completion of the internship, they receive Provisional Certificate – 2. With the practical knowledge acquired during the internship, my plan after obtaining the degree is to establish my own clinic.
Students have the flexibility to engage in part-time or full-time practice at external clinics. The college is highly regarded and ranked among the top ten colleges in India, attracting a substantial number of patients compared to other colleges in Coimbatore.
