Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
Admission to the first year or first semester of the Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Technology is available to candidates who have successfully completed the second year Pre-University or XII standard examination, or any equivalent qualification recognized by the University.
To be eligible, candidates must have obtained a minimum of forty-five percent (45%) aggregate marks in the qualifying examination, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry, BioTechnology, Computer Science, Biology, or Electronics.
However, for candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC categories from Karnataka, the minimum aggregate marks required for eligibility are forty percent (40%) in optional subjects.
Additionally, candidates must have studied and passed English as one of the subjects.
For admission to the second year/third semester of the Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Technology (Lateral Entry), candidates should hold a diploma or equivalent qualification recognized by the University, with a minimum of fifty percentage (50%) marks in the final year examination (fifth and sixth semesters) in the relevant branch of engineering.
For SC/ST and OBC candidates from Karnataka, the minimum marks required for eligibility in the lateral entry process are forty-five percent (45%).
Furthermore, all candidates seeking lateral entry must successfully complete the prescribed bridge courses specified by the University.
