Admissions
SJB Institute of Technology welcomes applications for its undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs. To gain admission to the B.E. program at SJBIT Bangalore, candidates must participate in either KCET/COMEDK UGET exams. After the exams, ranks and cutoffs are published, and successful candidates are invited for counseling. Seats are allocated based on the merit rank of KCET (45% of seats) and COMEDK UGET (30% of seats), while the remaining 25% are filled through the management quota.
For the M.Tech program, candidates are selected according to their merit rank in Karnataka PGCET/GATE. A separate merit list is prepared for Karnataka PGCET/GATE candidates, and 80% of the seats are allocated through the entrance test, with the rest available under the management quota.
The admission procedure for the M.B.A. program at SJB Institute of Technology involves shortlisting candidates based on Karnataka PGCET ranks. Those applying through the management quota are evaluated based on KMAT/CMAT scores.
As for the Ph.D. program, candidates need to take the VTU ETR entrance test. To qualify for the interview stage, they must achieve a minimum 50 percentile in the entrance test. The final selection is based on the interview performance (70% weightage) and qualifying examination results (30% weightage). Once selected, candidates must submit the required documents and pay the fees to secure their admission.
