Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
Applicants who have successfully completed the pre-university examination (10+2) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the board are eligible for the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program. They should have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects, with English being a subject of study. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST category, the minimum percentage of marks required in the qualifying subjects is 35%.
Candidates who have completed their BPT from universities recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) are eligible for the Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) program. However, candidates who have completed their BPT through correspondence or distance education programs are not eligible for admission into the MPT program.
Placements
The university has a strong global reputation, offering excellent opportunities for students. The college arranges a six-month internship in various hospitals within the city, providing valuable exposure and enhancing students’ practical experience. However, internships are unpaid.
Although the college does not directly assist with job placements, the field of physiotherapy currently offers abundant career opportunities. The college does provide a six-month internship program, although I have not personally participated in one and am unable to provide further details.
