Admissions
Candidates who have completed the 10+2+3 (15) or 11+1+3 (15) educational pattern and have successfully cleared the X and XII examinations conducted by the relevant State Board, CBSE, or any other recognized educational committee are eligible for admission. They must have completed their undergraduate degree from a university authorized by the UGC in any subject offered at the secondary or upper secondary educational level.
Candidates who have obtained a UG or PG degree from the National University System without passing the 11 Years SSLC assessment and 1 Year From before the Course (PUC) examination or the 10+2 model of education examination are not eligible for admission. However, candidates who have not cleared the XII or PUC exams but have completed a 2-year Undergraduate Preliminary Curriculum Diploma Years Fellowship Curriculum Certificate/Two Years Coursework from a recognized university and a three-year UG degree course are also considered eligible for admission.
To be eligible for admission to the Master of Education program, a candidate must have passed the B.Ed. examination from this university or any other university recognized by the Syndicate as equivalent, with a minimum of 50% marks in theory and practical exams separately. The selection of candidates for admission will be based on the current norms of Tamil Nadu colleges. Seats and concessions for SC, ST, MBC/DNC, BC, and other special categories designated by the Government of Tamil Nadu will be allocated in accordance with the legislative requirements of the Tamil Nadu Council in effect at the time. No candidate will be eligible for the M.Ed. degree unless they have completed the required coursework, passed the qualifying examination, and satisfied the Board with a dissertation.
Placements
The Placement Cell plays a crucial role in promoting student participation in interviews and securing job placements in renowned institutions. It actively communicates with various universities in and around Vriddhachalam, informing them about the provisions for conducting campus interviews at the college. The Placement Cell also keeps students updated about available vacancies and facilitates the necessary arrangements for campus interviews. Additionally, upon request, the cell assists students and teachers in forwarding their applications to the relevant Placement Cells. Its primary objective is to support students in their career endeavors and ensure successful placements.
