Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
Students are required to successfully pass the 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or school. Some colleges may have a criteria of securing a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
For admission, candidates should have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant specialization with a minimum aggregate ranging from 50% to 60%, depending on the specific requirements of the college.
Candidates who hold a valid B.Com or B.Com (Hons) degree from a recognized university or institute are eligible. They must also ensure that they have attained a minimum aggregate score of 50% in the qualifying exam.
For candidates pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (preferably Bachelor of Arts) of a minimum duration of 3 or 4 years (10+2+3 or 10+2+4), the degree must be obtained from a university recognized by the UGC (University Grants Commission) of India. A minimum of 50% or its equivalent must be secured by the students at the graduation level. However, please note that the specific cutoff may vary among different colleges.
To be eligible for admission, the candidate must have successfully completed a Graduation in BCA or an equivalent degree from a recognized board. Additionally, the candidate must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60% in the qualifying examination. Students in their final year of degree are also eligible to apply for admission.
Placements
Each year, our Sengunthar Arts and Science College’s Training and Placement Cell provides a wealth of opportunities for our students. The Cell is dedicated to motivating and training students to excel in their careers. In the past academic year, the Training and Placement Cell successfully placed 357 students from various departments into 17 different companies.
Additionally, the placement cell has collaborated with Redington Elite Smart Learning Centre to provide Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) training to our students. This initiative aims to meet the demands of the corporate world by offering training to all final year undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Smart Learning Centre, inaugurated by Mrs. Indira Kannan, provides digital classrooms and language labs for our students. A total of 180 students participated in the training program, and upon completion of their final year, Redington kindly extended the training to second-year students as well. This program has benefitted 210 students, with classes being conducted online from New Delhi.
