Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
Candidates who have successfully completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board are eligible for the program. Additionally, individuals who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Mangalore University or any other equivalent institution with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/Category-1 candidates) in optional subjects are eligible for the program. The selection process considers both merit and reservation, with a 50:50 weightage given to the marks obtained in the entrance examination and the qualifying examination.
Furthermore, candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree with Psychology as one of the subjects, or hold a B.S.W. degree from Mangalore University or any equivalent university, or possess a Graduate degree along with a PG Diploma/Diploma in Counselling, or have a minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Counsellor, are eligible for the program. These candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/Category-I candidates) in aggregate, including languages and Group III subjects.
Placements
Various companies conduct programs aimed at providing placement opportunities to students. These programs offer PG graduates the chance to work in both national and international companies. The placement process resembles a campus selection format, with opportunities for overseas placements as well. Notably, many students have secured placements in Concona University located in New York, and these placement events are held in Mangalore.
