CMR University established its School of Architecture, which is one of its nine departments. Situated in Bengaluru, this School offers a range of undergraduate, doctoral, and certificate programs in Architecture, including BArch, PhD, and a Certificate in Interior Design. Approved by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi, the School’s primary objective is to actively collaborate with building industries, civic bodies, and the general public to address the civic issues concerning Bengaluru city and its surrounding environment.

Admission to the School of Architecture at CMR University is based on a valid score obtained in the course-specific entrance exam or the students’ performance in their last qualifying exam, followed by a counseling process. Apart from the School of Architecture, CMR University encompasses eight other schools, each catering to different academic domains.
Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
The School of Architecture at CMR University offers both online and offline admission processes. Those interested in applying online can visit the official website, while for offline admission, candidates need to personally visit the campus for the complete procedure. The final admission is determined through a counseling round based on the merit scores achieved in the qualifying or subject-specific entrance exam.
For BArch admissions, candidates must have a valid score in the NATA exam and meet the set minimum eligibility criteria.
For Certificate courses, admission requirements entail meeting the University’s minimum eligibility criteria.
Candidates applying for the PhD program should have a valid score in the University’s entrance exam. However, applicants with valid scores in SET/SLET, GATE, CSIR NET, UGC NET exams, or those holding an MPhil degree are exempted from the University-level entrance exam.
PhD admissions occur twice a year in January and July, with applications invited throughout the year.
