Admissions

To be eligible for admission to the first year of the four-year B.E. degree course in engineering, candidates must meet one of the following qualification criteria:

Successfully passing the 12th (intermediate) examination or its equivalent from a government-recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. The minimum required percentage for admission is 50% for general candidates, 45% for backward class (including Muslim) candidates, 40% for MBC & DNC candidates, and 35% for SC/ST/SCA candidates.

Obtaining a Diploma in Engineering from the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu, or its equivalent.

Candidates aspiring to secure admission to the first year of the two-year M.E. course in engineering must hold a degree in Engineering (from any stream) granted by an institution recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
