Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
• For admission to the B.Sc. degree course in Nursing (Basic), candidates from all categories should have successfully completed the qualifying examinations (in the academic stream) after 12 years of study. They should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Botany & Zoology.
• It is mandatory to have individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Botany & Zoology (both in theory and practical) as well as English. SC/ST candidates should have a minimum of 35% marks in each of the above subjects, while candidates from other communities should have a minimum of 45% marks. Additionally, a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English is required.
• Candidates from states other than Tamil Nadu must obtain a migration certificate from their previous University/Board, along with an eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.
• The eligibility certificate must be obtained from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University before August 31st.
