Course, Fees and Eligibility

Admissions

M.Sc Nursing: Admission Criteria: Candidates must have a minimum of 55% marks in B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. Additionally, they should be registered nurses or possess an equivalent qualification from a state nursing registration council. One year of experience after completing basic B.Sc Nursing is also required.

B.Sc Nursing: Admission Criteria: Applicants should have successfully passed the PUC/PDC/10+2 examination with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. For SC/ST/Karnataka candidates, the minimum marks required are 40%.

P.C. B.Sc Nursing: Admission Criteria: Candidates must have completed a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and should be registered nurses and midwives.

Placements

Furthermore, students are encouraged to undergo hospital training to familiarize themselves with essential aspects such as appropriate drug usage, prescription monitoring, effective interactions between pharmacists, physicians, and patients, and patient counseling. The practical training, consisting of a minimum of 400 hours, is a mandatory requirement for all students.
