Established in 1996, Padmashree Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology is affiliated with Bangalore University and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The institute is a part of the Padmashree Group of Educational Institutions, which originated from the Padmashree Charitable Trust in 1994. The trust was established with the noble objective of addressing social causes, leading to the creation of various educational institutions, including the Padmashree Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology.
With a remarkable 20-year history of academic excellence, the Padmashree Group of Institutions has grown significantly. Initially starting with just 25 students in a single institution, it has now expanded to encompass 10 institutions, nurturing the educational journey of over 2,200 students. The institute specializes in utilizing clinical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. It offers job-oriented training programs in diverse areas such as Plant Tissue Culture, Molecular Biology, Quality Control, Animal Cell Culture, Clinical Research, and more, ensuring students receive practical and relevant education in the field.
Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
BSc:
For admission to the BSc program, candidates should have successfully completed their PUC/10+2 (PCM) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
MSc:
To be eligible for the MSc program, candidates must have completed the BSc MLT/BMLT course from institutions affiliated to RGUHS or from other universities recognized as equivalent by RGUHS. Additionally, candidates who have completed their BSc in Clinical Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry are eligible to pursue MSc MLT in Clinical Biochemistry. Similarly, candidates with a BSc in Clinical Microbiology/Medical Microbiology are eligible to join the MSc MLT program in Microbiology and Immunology.
