Students who have completed Plus Two (+2) are eligible for direct admission into the second year. It is important to note that mathematics is a compulsory subject for direct admission into the second year.

The Placement Cell at P.S.B Polytechnic College, located in Kelambakkam, Chennai, plays a crucial role in securing employment opportunities for graduating students. It actively collaborates with renowned organizations and institutes to establish internship and training programs for students. The Cell maintains strong relationships with various industrial establishments and corporate houses, facilitating campus interviews and selection processes for diploma students across disciplines.
To support these activities, the Training & Placement Office provides the necessary infrastructure for conducting group discussions, tests, and interviews. With a focus on the Chennai region, the Office interacts with numerous industries, attracting approximately 40 companies each year to conduct campus interviews. The placement season typically begins in the last week of January and continues until May. Pre-Placement Talks are organized based on mutual convenience to facilitate the hiring process.
