Admissions
Muthayammal Memorial College of Arts & Science is an affiliated institution that provides a diverse range of educational opportunities. It offers eight undergraduate and five postgraduate programs, all affiliated with Periyar University. The college follows a common application process for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
To be eligible for undergraduate courses, candidates must have successfully completed the HSC (10+2) examination from a recognized board. For admission to postgraduate programs, a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline is required. Admissions are granted based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, followed by a document verification process at the college.
Placements
The department’s primary goal is to provide comprehensive training from the first year of study, ensuring that every student secures employment in their desired industries.
To enhance the practical application of theoretical knowledge acquired in classrooms, experts from various industries and academia guide students in all relevant aspects. Interactive sessions led by job providers are conducted to focus on core areas.
The Placement Cell serves as a platform for final-year students, organizing awareness programs on career planning and employer expectations. Regular training sessions and guest lectures are conducted to develop employability skills such as communication, group discussions, team building, resume preparation, and interview techniques. Students are encouraged to participate in both on-campus and off-campus placement drives.
To equip students with essential skills, the Placement Cell has introduced communicative English training for first-year students. In the subsequent years, quantitative aptitude training and soft skills training will be provided.
Additionally, the cell supports students who aspire to pursue overseas education or seek employment abroad by assisting them in obtaining passports.
