Admissions
To be eligible for admission to the four-year B.E. Degree course in engineering, candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:
Successful completion of the 12th (intermediate) examination or its equivalent from a government recognized board, with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as subjects. The required percentage varies as follows: 50% for general candidates, 45% for backward class including Muslim candidates, 40% for MBC & DNC candidates, and 35% for SC/ST/SCA candidates.
Possession of a Diploma in Engineering from the State Board of Technical Education and Training Tamilnadu or its equivalent.

For admission to the two-year M.E. course in engineering, candidates must have successfully completed an Engineering degree (in any stream) from an institution recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
