Admissions
Meenakshi College of Engineering offers a diverse range of programs, including eight undergraduate (B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch) and six postgraduate (M.E./MBA/MCA/M.Arch) programs.
For B.Tech./B.E. programs, applicants should have passed the HSC (10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for BC/BCM and 40% for MBC/SC/SCA/ST) in the Science stream with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) as the main subjects. Additionally, candidates who have completed a Diploma or B.Sc. with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for BC/BCM and 45% for SC/SCA/ST) are also eligible to apply for the second year of the B.E./B.Tech program.
Candidates seeking admission to the B.Arch. program should have passed the HSC or a 3-year government-recognized diploma with Mathematics as a subject and a minimum aggregate of 50%. They are also required to clear the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) exam with a minimum score of 80 out of 200.
For admission to the MCA program, candidates must have a bachelor’s/master’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks and Mathematics as a subject either at the degree or 12th level.
Candidates interested in the MBA program should have passed a bachelor’s/master’s degree examination or equivalent from a recognized university in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks.
For admission to the M.E./M.Arch. programs, candidates should have completed their B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch. in the relevant field.
The admission process for B.E. and B.Tech. courses is based on the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) rank, which is conducted online by Anna University. Admission to the M.E. program is done based on the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by Anna University, Chennai.
