In the year 2007, Maruthi College of Education was established by Maruthi Educational Trust, receiving approval from NCTE (No. F.SRO/NCTE/B.Ed/2006-2007/8656, Dated: 24/10/2006) and the Tamil Nadu government. The college is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University-Chennai.
Each year, the college admits students who have successfully completed their undergraduate degree with the required percentage of marks. Our college has consistently achieved a remarkable result of over 95% every year, with more than 50% of students securing job opportunities in private institutions and government schools. In the academic year 2013-2014, the college was accredited with a “B” Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
Maruthi Educational Trust extends support to economically disadvantaged students through tuition fee concessions. Scholarships are also awarded to talented students, while cash awards are given to toppers to assist them in pursuing higher studies.

Admissions

For the Master of Education (M.Ed) program, candidates should have passed a Bachelor’s Degree Examination in Education from this university or any other university recognized by the Syndicate as equivalent, with a minimum of 50% marks in theory and practical components separately.
