Founded in 2007, Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering (MITE) is a highly regarded institution located in Mangalore, Karnataka. Admissions
MITE Mangalore offers admissions to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs through a specific admission process. For admission to the B.E./B.Tech program at Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering, candidates are required to take either the KCET or COMEDK UGET entrance examinations. The institute reserves 45% of the seats for KCET, 30% for COMEDK UGET, and the remaining 25% for candidates applying under the management quota.
For the M.E./M.Tech program, candidates must appear for the Karnataka PGCET or GATE examination as part of the MITE Mangalore admission process. Additionally, the institute also accepts CAT/KMAT/MAT scores for admission to the M.B.A program, along with Karnataka PGCET scores.
After the results are declared, shortlisted candidates are called for counseling sessions to complete the seat allotment process. As per the MITE Mangalore admission procedure, candidates must attend KCET/COMEDK UGET counseling for the B.Tech program and Karnataka PGCET counseling for the M.Tech and M.B.A programs. For admission to the Ph.D. program, candidates need to appear for the entrance test called VTU-ETR. However, candidates who have qualified UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET/SLET/GATE/CAT/M.Phil are exempted from the entrance test. Those who qualify the entrance test are then required to attend a personal interview.

MITE Mangalore prioritizes the career development of its students through its dedicated Training and Placement Cell. This cell offers comprehensive support and guidance for placements. It conducts various employability skills development programs, including problem-solving skills, soft skills, training on the latest technologies, company-specific training, group discussions, and interview preparation sessions. The MITE Mangalore placement activities usually take place between September and May each year. During this period, the campus welcomes recruiters from renowned companies.
