Mahendhira College of Education, established in 2006, is a part of the Mahendra Educational Trust. It offers a professional Bachelor of Education program for individuals aspiring to become teachers. Located approximately 13 kilometers from Salem, the college is recognized by the NCTE. It was previously affiliated with Periyar University and is currently affiliated with Tamilnadu Teachers Education University. The college boasts separate laboratories for physical science, biological science, educational technology, and psychology, equipped with adequate apparatus. Admissions
For admission to the B.Ed course, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria based on a 10+2+3 system. Candidates should hold a graduate or post-graduate degree in arts or science subjects, with a post-graduate degree being mandatory for Economic, Commerce, and Accountancy optional. The minimum required marks for general category candidates is 50%.
