Established in 1925, Loyola College Chennai is a renowned catholic minority institution located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. As a public college, it is affiliated with the University of Madras and holds recognition from UGC and approval from AICTE, New Delhi. Loyola College has received an exceptional “A++” grade accreditation from NAAC.

Moreover, the college has been honored with the Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) status by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, New Delhi (2010-2016). It has also been granted a special income tax exemption of 175% by the Ministry of Finance for research donations in seven science disciplines (2012), along with funding from the Department of Science and Technology (DST) under the Fund for Improvement of Science and Technology (FIST-2013).
