Established in 1999, K.S. Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) is a prominent institution located in Mangalore. Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
At the undergraduate level, the college offers MBBS and B.Sc. courses, while the KS Hegde Medical Academy provides MD, MS, MPH, and M.Ch. courses at the postgraduate level.
For admission to the MBBS course, candidates must have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks and should have studied Physics, Chemistry, English, and Biology/Biotechnology as their subjects. Selection for MBBS seats will be based on the scores obtained in the NEET examination.
To be eligible for the B.Sc. courses, candidates should have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 40% marks and studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects. The allocation of seats for B.Sc. programs will be done based on the merit in the qualifying 10+2 examination.
Candidates who have successfully completed their MBBS degree are eligible to apply for the MD and MS courses. The allotment of seats for MD and MS programs will be conducted through the counseling process organized by KEA, taking into account the NEET PG scores.
For admission to the MPH course, candidates who have completed MBBS/BDS or any other related degree are eligible to apply. The allocation of seats for the MPH program will be based on the merit in the qualifying degree examination.
Candidates who have completed MS in General Surgery can apply for the M.Ch. program. The seats for M.Ch. will be allotted based on merit.
