Krishnasamy College of Engineering & Technology (KCET) was founded in 2001 by Sri Krishnasamy Reddiar Educational Trust, guided by the core values of “EDUCATION, DISCIPLINE, and EXALTATION.” The management is dedicated to offering high-quality technical education, with a special focus on students hailing from rural areas. In addition to the College of Engineering and Technology, the trust oversees a Polytechnic College, a Women’s Arts College, a School, and a College of Education. This comprehensive approach ensures a holistic educational experience within the trust’s institutions.
Admissions
For B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) admissions, candidates must meet one of the following qualification criteria:
Passed the 12th (intermediate) or an equivalent examination from a government-recognized board. The subjects required are Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. The minimum percentage required is 50% for general candidates, 45% for backward class (including Muslim) candidates, 40% for MBC & DNC candidates, and 35% for SC/ST/SCA candidates.
Possess a Diploma in Engineering from the State Board of Technical Education or an equivalent qualification.
For M.E. (Master of Engineering) admissions, candidates must fulfill the following requirement:
Candidates must have a valid Engineering degree (in any stream) from an institution recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
For M.C.A. (Master of Computer Applications) admissions, the minimum qualification criteria are as follows:
Candidates must have any degree from a university recognized by KTU (Kerala Technological University) with a minimum of 50% marks, excluding languages. Additionally, candidates should have studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at the plus-two level or degree level.
Placements
Our students have the advantage of accessing a 24-hour internet facility with 8 Mbps connectivity, which they utilize to its fullest potential. This empowers them to enhance their expertise through online tests and stay updated in their respective fields. Additionally, we provide spacious, air-conditioned halls for conducting skill development programs and interviews. The department placement in-charges dedicate weekly hours to train our students, ensuring they are well-prepared for placement opportunities. Moreover, we offer company-specific training during and after college hours to further refine their skills. To improve communication abilities, we have allocated a General Proficiency hour. We also organize career planning programs and provide personal success coaching with the assistance of industry experts. During summer and winter vacations, we arrange industrial training for both students and faculty. Lastly, we provide our students with the invaluable opportunity to learn from the professional experiences of our successful alumni who have secured positions in esteemed organizations.
