Admissions

Admissions at the Knowledge Institute of Technology (KIOT) are available for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. KIOT Salem offers admissions to B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech, M.B.A, and Ph.D. programs. To secure admission to the B.E/B.Tech program, candidates must complete the registration process for TNEA. The selection is based on the merit of the qualifying exam, and candidates are shortlisted for TNEA counseling based on cutoff marks released after the announcement of the 10+2 results. Selection for the undergraduate program at Knowledge Institute of Technology is determined by ranks and preferences filled by the candidates.

For admission to the M.E/M.Tech program, candidates can choose to appear for either GATE or TANCET. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list following the result declaration are required to participate in TANCA counseling for seat allotment, as per the Knowledge Institute of Technology admission process.

For admission to the M.B.A program, the institute considers TANCET M.B.A scores. Candidates must participate in TANCET M.B.A counseling after the declaration of results and release of cutoff marks.

In accordance with the KIOT Salem admission procedure for the Ph.D. program, candidates are required to take an entrance test conducted by Anna University. Shortlisted candidates are then invited for a personal interview, and the final selection is based on the overall performance in the entrance test, qualifying examination, and personal interview. Once selected, candidates need to submit the required documents and complete the fee payment as the final step in the Knowledge Institute of Technology admission process.

Placements

Since its establishment in 2009, Knowledge Institute of Technology has maintained an active placement cell. This placement cell at KIOT Salem is responsible for organizing campus interviews for the final year students and assisting with internships. In addition, the institute takes pride in its Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) initiative, which extends the Knowledge Institute of Technology placement drive beyond the campus to include students from different regions of the state and the entire country.

To enhance the students’ skills and employability, the Centre for Career Development and Training (C-CDT) conducts a variety of training programs at KIOT Salem.
