Admissions
The admission process for all courses at KMCH College is merit-based, determined by the performance in the qualifying examination. For B.Sc., applicants must have passed HSC with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. The minimum age requirement for admission is 17 years as of 31 December of the admission year.
For M.Sc., candidates need to hold a B.Sc. degree with a minimum of 55% marks. Those applying for PB B.Sc. Nursing should have completed a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized school of nursing. SC/ST candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 40% marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible.
For Post Basic Diploma, candidates should have completed a Diploma/Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution and possess one year of clinical experience. PB B.Sc. Nursing applicants are required to be registered with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai, before filling the application form for KMCH College.
Candidates for all other courses, except B.Sc. Nursing, need to furnish the Council Registration Certificate obtained from the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, as well as a Work Experience Certificate from their previous employer.
NRI candidates must submit their original passport and visa and provide evidence of payment of US Dollar 1000 to the college as Development Charges. Reservation is provided to Indian candidates as per the norms set by the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University.
For Ph.D., candidates must have completed M.Sc. in Nursing to meet the eligibility criteria. Admission to the Ph.D. program involves an entrance exam followed by a Personal Interview conducted by the university. Candidates applying for part-time Ph.D. should be currently employed as faculty in any of the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University Affiliated Nursing Colleges.
