Admissions
The admission process at Karpagam Institute of Technology (KIT) adheres to the guidelines set by the University. Prospective applicants must meet the eligibility criteria defined by the college.
KIT offers admission to BE/B Tech programs in six disciplines: CSE, Mechanical, EEE, ECE, IT, and Artificial Intelligence. The annual intake for BE/B Tech is 60 seats. The selection for B Tech admission at Karpagam Institute is based on the merit of the 10+2 exam, followed by the TNEA Rank. The final seat allocation occurs through TNEA Counselling. Applicants should have cleared the 12th board exam with an average of 50% marks in PCM subjects. However, candidates belonging to the SC/ST category are eligible with a minimum of 45% marks, enjoying a 5% relaxation in aggregate marks. Firstly, students who have passed the 12th exam need to apply for TNEA. The application process for TNEA is conducted online, and applicants are required to visit the Anna University website to complete the form. The application fees for TNEA amount to approximately INR 500. Once the TNEA application process concludes, the University will publish the TNEA rank list on its official website. Students whose names appear in the TNEA rank or merit list are eligible to participate in TNEA Counselling. During the counselling process, students must select their preferred colleges and courses. If a student’s TNEA rank meets the KIT Coimbatore TNEA Cut off criteria, they can secure admission.
