Established in November 2002, the Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College aims to revive and promote the ancient system of Ayurveda by providing authentic Ayurvedic education to aspiring students. Located in Hoigebail, Ashoknagar, Mangalore, the college is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and the Central Council for Indian Medicine, New Delhi.
The college boasts a dedicated and experienced faculty comprising experts in specialized branches of Ayurveda, such as Svashavritta, Manasaroga, Samitha, and Roganidana. It also houses a well-equipped pharmacy that meets the requirements of the college hospital. Additionally, the college takes pride in maintaining a meticulously maintained Herbal Garden, spanning over 5 acres of land, which showcases a diverse collection of over 500 rare herbs, plants, and trees.

Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
The admission process for BAMS typically commences right after the announcement of 10+2 (PUC) results. However, for management quota seats, advance seat reservations can be made prior to the 10+2 (PUC) examination. The admission process for M.D. begins concurrently with BAMS, adhering to the specified eligibility criteria. Admission to the course is solely based on merit, and the college provides excellent facilities for both theoretical and practical coaching in accordance with the standards set by the governing bodies of Ayurveda. Candidates applying for Central and State Government quotas are advised to refer to the respective government notifications regarding the admission process.
Placements
The internship opportunities provided by my college may not be exceptional. However, students have the option to pursue internships within our college or in other institutions. During these internships, we gain valuable hands-on experience by working in college hospitals, attending to patients, and receiving training from skilled surgeons. When it comes to job placement, individuals need to demonstrate their capabilities through their academic performance and dedication to continuous learning. Additionally, there are various projects available, such as providing free treatment in rural areas and engaging in extra-curricular activities.
