Established in 1823, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is a renowned institution located in Puducherry. Admissions
JIPMER Admissions 2023 offer a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including MBBS, MD/MS, B.Sc/M.Sc programs, as well as various diploma and certificate courses. The institute also provides opportunities for super-speciality level programs such as DM/M.Ch/Fellowship, and research-level programs like PhD. Starting from the academic year 2023, the JIPMER entrance exam has been replaced by the NEET exam conducted by the NTA, followed by counselling.
To be eligible for MBBS, candidates should have passed the 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. Admission to the MBBS program is based on the NEET exam.
For MD/MS courses, candidates must possess an MBBS degree or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Medical Council of India. Similarly, for MDS, applicants should have a BDS degree or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Dental Council of India. Admission to all the postgraduate courses will be done based on the INI CET PG exam.
The selection process for a PhD degree involves a written examination followed by an interaction with the PhD Admission Committee.
