Admissions
Candidates who have completed their HSC examination (Academic Stream of 10 +2 curriculum) from any recognized State/CBSE/ISC board or any equivalent examination are eligible to apply for admission to the desired course, provided they have obtained the minimum prescribed marks in the specified subjects.
To be eligible for admission, candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology collectively, along with a pass in English in the qualifying examination.
For admission to the postgraduate programs, candidates must possess an MBBS degree or an equivalent qualification recognized by both the University and the Medical Council of India (MCI). The postgraduate programs available are Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and Master of Surgery (M.S.).
Eligibility for the MBBS course requires candidates to have passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, and obtained a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined during the qualifying examination.
For candidates belonging to SC/ST or other OBC categories, the minimum marks required in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together during the qualifying examination is 40%.
Placements
Our college offers a total of 150 seats for the MBBS program, which spans 5 and a half years of study, including the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) period. It is widely regarded as an excellent institution with a conducive learning environment and knowledgeable professors. Students can expect to receive a comprehensive education, surpassing that of other colleges in Pondicherry. The CRRI experience provides valuable exposure to case management.
In terms of placements, our college has successfully placed 150 students. The highest salary offered was INR 1,50,000, the lowest salary offered was INR 40,000, and the average salary offered was INR 60,000. Admission to NEET PG and obtaining an MD/MS degree or clearing any All India exams are the criteria for pursuing further specialization. Alternatively, students have the option to pursue AFMC and serve in the armed forces. The college also encourages research, with the highest salary offered for research positions being INR 60,000, the lowest salary offered being INR 40,000, and the average salary offered being INR 50,000. Approximately 70% of students secure internships each year, while the remaining students complete their studies within four years.
