Indian Institute of Psychology and Research (IIPR) is a renowned academic institution located in Koramangala, Bangalore. It offers postgraduate courses in Psychology and undergraduate courses with Psychology as one of the major subjects, along with other core subjects from Social Sciences. IIPR was established in 2004, with the goal of bringing together passionate academicians, practitioners, and students to provide them with a platform for serious academic pursuit and research initiatives in the field of Psychology and other disciplines of Social Sciences. This initiative has led to quality contributions to various interdisciplinary fields of Social Sciences and outreach programmes for the betterment of society. Affiliated to Bangalore City University (BCU), IIPR is approved and recognized by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Karnataka, with reference numbers ED-187-UBV-2004 dated 04/09/2004 and ED-318-UBA-2014 dated 25/9/2014. It is the only exclusive college for Psychology and Social Sciences under BCU, providing high-quality education and training to its students, making them stand out. IIPR is on track to become a full-fledged research Centre with the required accreditations and approvals from the concerned authorities.

Admissions

The Indian Institute of Psychology and Research provides a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the 2023-24 academic year. Aspiring students can apply for admission online through the official website of the university. The admission process for all programs is based on merit, and personal interviews are conducted to evaluate the candidates. The final selection of students is made based on their academic performance and performance in the interview.

To be eligible for this course, candidates must have a minimum of 40% marks in 10+2/P.U.C./12th or equivalent, and must possess knowledge of English. Additionally, candidates who have completed a three-year undergraduate program with Psychology as one of the optional subjects and have scored a minimum aggregate of 40% in all optional subjects and 50% in Psychology are also eligible to apply.

Placements

The Indian Institute of Psychology and Research has a placement cell that aids in organizing interactions between students and different organizations, such as hospitals, NGO’s, counseling centers, and more. In addition, the placement cell conducts seminars and orientations to provide students with an understanding of the various aspects of Psychology. Dedicated placement coordinators assist the placement cell in carrying out these activities.
