Admissions
The admissions process at IIMB is a meticulous and comprehensive process that assesses candidates based on various criteria. The admissions team relies on empirical research that suggests the effectiveness of multiple criteria in recruitment and selection. IIMB has observed that students who excel in the academic programme typically have a consistent academic record throughout their schooling, high school, and graduation, in addition to demonstrating high aptitude as measured by CAT/GMAT. Therefore, the institute uses a combination of parameters, including academic performance at all levels, CAT/GMAT scores, and relevant work experience, if applicable, to evaluate the suitability of candidates for the PGP program. The CAT/GMAT score serves as both a selection criterion and a means to determine the minimum level of proficiency expected from candidates in their respective fields, as indicated by the section-wise minimum scores in the CAT/GMAT. A composite score is calculated using multiple criteria to assess each candidate, which is used to select candidates for the next stage.
