Established in 2000, Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HiCET) Coimbatore was brought to life by the remarkable industrialist and philanthropist, Thiru.T.S.R.Khannaiyann of Hindusthan Educational Trust. HiCET is recognized under Section 2(f) and 12B of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and holds autonomous status. It is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, with permanent affiliation for most programs. The college is approved by AICTE and the Government of India. It has received accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A’ grade and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
Admissions
Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HICET) Coimbatore offers admissions at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The admission process at the college typically takes place from May to June. Interested candidates can access the HICET application form on the college website under the ‘Admission’ section.
To be eligible for programs at HICET, candidates are required to provide test scorecards from one of the following examinations: MAT, CAT, XAT, GMAT, GATE, TNEA, TANCET, or any other relevant national/state-level examination.
For admission to BE courses, candidates must register for TNEA counseling, where they will be granted admission based on merit, determined by their performance in the qualifying examination. As for MCA courses, admission will be offered through TANCET counseling, considering the candidates’ TANCET scores.
