Course, Fees and Eligibility
Admissions
Candidates who have successfully completed the qualifying examination under the 10+2 pattern and obtained not less than 45% marks, which is recognized by the syndicate as equivalent to the Higher Secondary Examination of the Government of Tamil Nadu, are eligible for admission. For candidates belonging to the S.C./S.T. category, a concession of 5% marks in the minimum required for admission to the B.L. 5-year Degree Course, as prescribed in the regulations, will be given.
Candidates who have passed a three-year Degree Examination from universities in Tamil Nadu, as well as degrees awarded by member universities of the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, for the purpose of mutual recognition on a reciprocal basis, after the 10+2+3+ or 11+1+3 pattern, and recognized by Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University alone, are eligible for admission to the LL.B (3 years) Degree Course.
A candidate who has completed the LL.B Degree Examination and has secured not less than 50% aggregate marks in all three years of the Three Year B.L. Degree Course or in all five years of the Five Year LL.B Degree Course, as the case may be, shall be eligible to apply for the LL.M Degree Course. However, a relaxation of 5% is provided for candidates belonging to the SC/ST communities.
Placements
As part of their regular degree course, students are required to complete an internship. This internship provides valuable practical experience and is a crucial component of their academic journey.
